《努力，是为了尊严》主题演讲
我1996年进电影学院，傻不棱登地背着包进了电影学院之后，在我们班里边我有生以来头一次见到了那么多美女帅哥，然后就碰到了我的初恋。那会儿我真的觉得她很漂亮很好看，我觉得我这辈子从来没见到那么好看的女生，可是她拒绝我了。我不知道她为什么拒绝我，后来她告诉我说，“因为那会儿你太胖了”——那会儿我一百五十多斤，比现在胖很多。又说“你太土了”——我一开始不知道我土，后来我演了成冬青（电影《中国合伙人》中的角色），我才知道我原来真的是个土鳖，因为成冬青太适合我了。
我在2004年左右拍了一部戏叫作《龙票》，当时是我要自己开车去剧组。经过一个沙漠，结果我开着开着刚过一个坡，一上坡我就看到坡下面有个大坑，我往这一拐可能就翻车了，完全不敢打方向盘。结果车刹不住了，侧滑了48米，直接翻到了沙漠里。我旁边一个男助手没事儿，他把我拉出来了，我一脸都是血。送到医院，医生一拍片子说我脖子又裂了。我的第五、第六节颈椎骨折。医生说：“你呀，必须赶紧去县城的大医院去打一个石膏，至少是固定住三个月不能动。”我坚持要拍戏，因为所有剧组的工作人员已经跟我到了内蒙古。
我想了一下跟医生说：“医生，你给我想一个办法，让我既能拍戏又能养病。”他说：“没有，你要是去拍戏就是疯了。”我说：“医生，这样吧，你们想办法从县城上给我买一个脖箍，箍住脖子不能让脖子动的那个东西。我戴着它，如果我要拍戏我就把它摘下来，不拍戏我就把它戴上。”医生说：“你疯了吧，你连命都不要了，你这个差一点点就要瘫痪了。”我说：我真的不忍心让大家都在等我，你就让我去吧。”他说：“那你自己看着办吧。”
后来我在颈托还没到的情况下，揪着自己的衣领就这样固定住不让自己动，坐了半个小时的过山车进到沙漠里，在那儿拍了一个月戏。我到现在为止都要睡柱状的枕头，我坐车也要睡柱状的颈椎枕，否则我不能动。
我刚毕业的时候拍了一部戏叫作《网虫日记》，晚上自己开车回家被车撞。过那红绿灯的时候，就觉得眼前白光一闪，一辆装满沙子的两吨重的大卡车，把我从马路中间顶到了对面的一辆吉普车上，又从吉普车上弹回到马路中间。我在里边什么事都不知道了，他们说大概过了半个小时之后，有人敲我玻璃把我叫醒，我自己打车去找了一个年轻的外科大夫。他用了很粗的针，大概一共就缝了六针，后来别人告诉我说
这种伤要缝二十多针。四年之内我都觉得这个下巴上怪怪的，老是鼓出来一块，特别痒。
我觉得我很幸运，我还活着，能够跟大家说话已经很知足了。拍《白发魔女传》时又从威亚上摔下来。七米高，相当于两层楼以上的高度，粉碎性骨折，至少要休息三到五个月。当时我脚上打了六颗钢钉，一共打了四颗螺丝钉，两根大钢针。大概过了四十天我就有点躺不住了。我跟经纪人商量说：“咱们可不可以去拍戏？”我经纪人说你又疯了，我说我觉得我应该可以。我就一直跷着脚被推车推进剧组了。结果第四十三天武术导演问我说：“晓明，我们有一个镜头必须吊威亚，你还行吗？你要不行可以说不行。”我犹豫了一下，因为当时还有点害怕。我说行，但是别再把我掉下来了。我在威亚上吊在房顶上的时候真是一身汗，把我放下来的时候导演问我说：“怎么样，你没事儿吧？”我说没事儿没事儿，其实我当时已经紧张得快尿裤子了。
做一个努力的`人是我的选择，我觉得自己不聪明，我没有别的方式方法让我成功，我不像周迅、孙红雷、黄渤都是天生有演技的人。我没有，我不是，我只是一个脸蛋长得好看的人，再无其他，我唯一能够做的，就是通过我的努力，通过我的“不要命”，我的成功，我的今天——也许其中一部分是要用我的身体换来的。
